Terms of service

Last updated: March 2026

By using Kinship, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language because legal jargon helps no one.

What Kinship is

Kinship is a personal relationship management tool that helps you stay connected with the people in your life. It is not a business CRM, marketing tool, or data broker.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. Don't share your account or use it for anything illegal.

Your data

The data you put into Kinship (contacts, notes, hangouts, etc.) belongs to you. We store it to provide the service. You can export or delete it at any time. See our privacy policy for details on how we handle your data.

Acceptable use

Don't use Kinship to:

  • Store or distribute content that is illegal or harmful
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
  • Use automated tools to create accounts or manipulate data

Service availability

We do our best to keep Kinship running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We'll try to give advance notice of any planned maintenance. The service is provided “as is” without warranties.

Pricing changes

Kinship is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, existing users will receive advance notice and there will always be a free tier so you never lose access to your data.

Termination

You can stop using Kinship at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, but we'll always try to reach out first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
